North Brooklyn Angels

North Brooklyn Angels is a volunteer-powered nonprofit serving Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and Bushwick. Founded in 2017 by neighbors watching rising rents displace longtime residents, we started with a single mobile soup kitchen running three days a week. Today we serve 2,000 hot meals a week across nine North Brooklyn locations, seven days a week — and we've expanded into baby and toddler gear through our Little Angels program and affordable housing navigation through Live Local, because our neighbors told us those were the next gaps to fill.

We practice radical accessibility: no ID at the truck, no income check for a gently-used stroller, no fee for housing help. And we practice it through volunteers. Two full-time staff, a small part-time team, and 950+ neighbors who show up week after week.
