To create inclusive housing communities where people of all ages and abilities, especially those with developmental disabilities, feel a sense of belonging.

HOPE, Housing Options for People with Exceptionalities, was begun in 2018 by a small group of parents who want to see additional housing options for people with developmental disabilities. Our goal is create options for inclusive housing for adults with developmental disabilities integrated into the community. We have two pilot projects in the Triangle with a third starting in 2026 and we are working on policy change so that more can happen across the state.
