This is currently a volunteer position. Contributors will gain hands-on experience building real-world AI systems for public health impact.
About the Role
This is an unpaid volunteer leadership position supporting the architecture and deployment of production-grade LLM systems for healthcare and public health impact.
Commitment
- 5–10 hours per week
- Remote
- Flexible schedule
Qualifications
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- 2+ years hands-on experience building LLM applications
- Experience with RAG systems and vector databases
- Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture of AI chatbot systems
- Mentor junior engineers
- Guide model evaluation and performance optimization
- Advise on responsible AI practices

- H4TW Team is completely formed by non paid volunteers who contribute their time remotely, why are you interested in collaborating with us as a volunteer?
