Part-time product manager

Active for Animals (AFA)’s mission is to develop a suite of online tools specifically tailored to animal charities in order to improve their effectiveness. By providing animal charities with useful, state-of-the art software tools, AFA aims to stimulate a broad adoption of plant-based diets and reduce animal suffering.

We are seeking a part-time Product Manager who will be responsible for assisting with end-to-end product development and serve as the main point of contact with our clients.

This is a fully remote, paid position for 12 months, starting in November with the possibility to extend beyond 12 months, depending on funding.

Key responsibilities

Charity outreach

• Map and reach out to animal charities around the world, including vetting organizations
• Conduct interviews with animal charities to identify potential tools to develop
• Write user stories
• Collect feedback from end users to identify user needs
• Partner with app developers to define scope, requirements, and timeline for tool deliverables

Measuring our work

• Develop and maintain OKR
• Measure the effectiveness and impact of our work
• Interview end users to track tool performance
• Create reports/data visualizations on collected data and conclusions for external use

Social media

• Manage the social media platforms, write and share product updates on Facebook, LinkedIn and emailing lists

Other

• Attend weekly team meetings

Preferred qualifications

• Great social skills along with polite and professional demeanor
• Great at networking
• Experience with impact measurement, OKR and KPI
• Experience working in animal charities
• Experience in tech sector is a plus
