Salud y Acceso is a youth-led, bilingual initiative of high school students in Chapel Hill, NC. Our volunteers help Spanish-speaking families schedule healthcare visits, complete follow-ups, and develop educational outreach materials. We value equity, community service, and bilingual communication, and aim to train student leaders who make a tangible impact on healthcare access. Our pilot program serves local families, with plans to expand and replicate in other communities. Volunteers gain hands-on experience in public health, leadership, and youth-driven initiatives while helping families overcome systemic barriers to care.
