    About KMSG

KMSG is a social impact consulting firm that supports leaders navigating complexity. We work with nonprofits, funders, and social enterprises to build durable strategies, shift narratives, strengthen philanthropic relationships, and amplify mission-driven communication. Founded in 2021, we are LGBT-owned, led by a first-generation college graduate, and committed to equity, inclusion, and belonging — in our team, in our clients, and in the outcomes we pursue.

    Our Culture and Benefits

We believe culture is everything. Our approach is built on clarity, trust, and shared purpose. Our remote-first, outcome-driven culture supports a four-day workweek, prioritizing focused work and real rest.

    We offer:

    • Six weeks of paid time off annually (12 discretionary days, office closure in early July, holiday closure at year’s end, and four federal holidays)
    • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
    • 401(k) with company match
    • Paid sick and mental health leave
    • Paid family leave
    • Student loan reimbursement plan

    About the Role

The Account & Operations Manager supports both KMSG’s client-facing strategy work and the firm’s internal operations. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a small, entrepreneurial consulting environment, enjoys managing multiple types of responsibilities, and values the balance of a 4-day workweek and remote-first culture.

As KMSG continues to scale, this position offers significant potential for growth and role development. A strong performer will have the opportunity to expand their responsibilities, shape new systems, and grow into a senior leadership role as the firm’s capacity and client base increase.

    Responsibilities

    Client Accounts

    • Provide coordination and project management across client engagements
    • Draft, review, edit, and proof client-ready materials (call summary notes, engagement reports, memos, decks, communications)
    • Track deliverables, deadlines, and scopes of work; maintain project management systems
    • Serve as a day-to-day logistics contact for assigned clients

    Firm Operations

    • Manage internal scheduling, workflows, and meeting prep
    • Support vendor coordination, advisory board communications, and compliance tracking
    • Keep organizational systems (files, project management tools, CRM) updated and efficient

    Executive Support

    • Manage the Managing Director’s calendar, scheduling, and travel logistics
    • Provide agendas, advance briefing materials, and follow-up notes for key meetings
    • Help ensure executive time is aligned with top priorities

    Qualifications

    • At least two (2) years of professional experience in operations or executive office management, ideally in consulting, nonprofit, philanthropy, or communications firms
    • Demonstrated project management skills with strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to produce client-ready work
    • Humility, commitment to our mission, and a sense of humor!
    • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders
    • Tech-savvy with tools like Asana, Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRMs (experience with QuickBooks or similar a plus)
    • Professional maturity and discretion in working with senior leaders and sensitive information

    What Success Looks Like

    • Client deliverables are accurate, polished, and on time
    • Internal operations run smoothly, with systems maintained and deadlines met
    • An aligned, mission-oriented team where everyone is supported and experiencing collective success
    • Executive leadership is supported and protected from logistical burdens
    • The firm can grow sustainably with the Account & Operations Manager as a central stabilizing role
