Director of Movement Power
Role Summary
Avow is seeking an organizing leader who believes that culture change drives political change and knows how to make it happen. This role is ideal for someone who brings people together with power and compassion to follow a powerbuilding analysis rooted in the realities of bodily autonomy. This role calls for someone who is excited to build leadership pipelines, shape culture, and mobilize communities across Texas. The Movement Power Director is a critical part of Avow’s work to lead boldly and grow a movement that can’t be ignored.
The Director of Movement Power leads Avow’s organizing, electoral, and civic engagement strategies, ensuring that our work builds sustained power for abortion access and reproductive justice in Texas. This role is responsible for developing and executing political organizing strategies, base-building initiatives, electoral justice campaigns, and mobilization efforts that align with Avow’s theory of change. The Director of Movement Power works closely with community partners, political allies, and internal teams to advance people's power, community leadership, policies, and narratives that strengthen abortion access and reproductive justice in Texas.

The salary for this full-time role is set at $90,000 annually.
