Video Editor

We're looking for a video editor who can turn raw footage into stories worth watching. You'd edit clips from Subject Matter Expert (SME) interviews conducted online, client-provided keynotes, and live facilitated learning sessions into promo reels, PSA-style spots, and explainer videos with motion graphics. You'd work from a shot sheet and incorporate visual elements our creative team provides in Figma. Work remotely on a schedule you set. Hours vary by project demand and performance.

What you'll contribute in this role:

• Edit interview, keynote, and live-session footage into tight promo reels and highlight videos
• Produce PSA-style spots and explainer videos with motion graphics in After Effects
• Work from shot sheets and creative briefs, incorporating brand assets and visual elements provided in Figma
• Cut, color, mix, and caption to a consistent, accessible standard
• Collaborate with our creative team, media producers, and project directors
• Contribute across a range of projects after your initial hire

What we look for:

• A portfolio or reel that shows your editing judgment; you'll have a chance to share links when you apply
• Fluency in the Adobe suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects
• An eye for pacing, story, and clean typography in motion
• Reliable, communicative, and good at managing your time on a remote team
• Bonus: audio cleanup, color grading, Figma familiarity, and motion graphics experience

This is an excellent role for independent videographers and film students building a professional reel. Most of our team has taught full-time in K-12, and our videos serve teachers, students, and the organizations that support them. We can teach you our systems of collaboration; we cannot give you experiences that build identification and empathy for the people our work serves.
