The Malawi Learning Partnership

The Malawi Learning Partnership seeks to create a countrywide educational network for schools, teachers and students, to enable communication, collaboration and learning. We believe that ICT can be used as a tool to improve the quality of education, not only in the subject of ICT, but as a tool for learning across the entire curriculum. We also believe that schools and teachers need support, training and empowerment to help Malawi's young people reach their potential. Our main aims over the next three years is to connect 200 schools using 3G technology and a mobile partner, Access Communications Ltd, , train teachers at each of the connected schools, provide technical support to keep the schools operation and work with teachers to build a complete electronic curriclum for Malawi that can be accessed on computers and hand-held devices anywhere there is mobile phone coverage.
