Our client, a environmentally focused non-profit in Washington, DC has a new opening for a year long contract, Media and Entertainment Partnerships Associate. This is 32 hour per week need, starting in late September 2025 and running through September 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Under the guidance of the VP of Media & Entertainment Partnerships, the Associate will:
- Coordinate day-to-day partner activations and support programming initiatives tied to organizational priorities.
- Maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners to strategically utilize media and entertainment engagement assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, Communications, Brand Management, Content & Social, Legal, Programs & Partnerships, and Finance to deliver on partnership goals.
- Support the evaluation and refinement of entertainment-related programming, criteria, and agreements.
- Assist in implementing stewardship strategies for targeted media and entertainment collaborations.
- Create and prepare a range of materials including presentation decks, proposals, term sheets, and contracts.
- Support announcements and content development for partner products and initiatives in coordination with Marketing and Communications.
- Maintain and update recognition programs and communications (e.g., newsletters and updates) for entertainment-related supporters.
- Track, review, and prioritize internal requests related to media and entertainment partnerships.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding contract processes, requirements, and best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling privileged information.
- Provide general stewardship and administrative support across media and entertainment partnerships, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the media and entertainment industry.
- Proven ability to manage strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships, particularly in media, sports, or entertainment.
- Knowledge of marketing, sponsorships, social media, and partnership activation.
- Strong project coordination and program management skills.
- Experience with partner activations and stewardship events.
- Background in nonprofit, military, or international organizations preferred.
- Familiarity with working alongside federal, state, or local government entities is a strong plus; prior experience with public sector agencies is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is required. Experience with tools such as Airtable, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or other CRM and nonprofit platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while being an effective team member.
Location: This position is based in downtown Washington, DC.
Term: September/October 2025 through September 2026.
Work Schedule: 32 hours per week (Monday–Thursday); occasional flexibility on Fridays as needed. 3 days in the office/2 days remote.
