Job Description
Serves as the college's chief development officer and works with the SCC Foundation and college personnel to seek external funds from public and private sources. Responsible for coordinating all facets of community, alumni and media relations for the college. Serves on the SCC Leadership Team to participate in institutional planning and problem solving.
Required Qualifications Minimum of a Master's Degree with a background in administration, leadership, or related experience required. Must have a high degree of technical fiscal skills and knowledge of accounting and business practices. Experience preparing and managing multiple budgets required. Documented evidence of developing and managing successful fundraising initiatives required. Resource development, marketing and public relations, and supervisory experience required. Experience with educational and business partnerships preferred. Strong organizational skills required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
CFRE certification as a fundraising executive is preferred.
Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. This role requires the ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally, and bend or stand as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, attending meetings on-campus and off-campus.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Resource Development Duties: Develop and implement fundraising initiatives which provide funds for student scholarships and college advancement.
