Planet Harvest is hiring our first dedicated commercial hire to start, grow, and scale sales for our Box Program platform. This is a true hunter role: you will build pipeline from scratch, open doors that don’t yet exist, develop executive relationships, and close enterprise partnerships in a fast-paced, build-from-the-ground-up environment.
About Planet Harvest
Planet Harvest is building a scalable commercial ecosystem that transforms excess agricultural supply into recurring ingredient demand and long-term marketplace value. We help farmers sell their Whole Harvest and create verified, commercial-grade ingredients — giving food and beverage companies a sustainable sourcing partner they can prove to their customers, not just claim.
Our Box Program platform enables corporations, healthcare organizations, foundations, and nonprofits to deliver fresh food programs that support employee engagement, community impact, Food as Medicine initiatives, wellness, food access, and charitable giving. We provide a turnkey solution — sourcing, packing, logistics, delivery, and program execution — so our partners can focus on outcomes.
With proven customers, active partnerships, and growing market demand, we’re now investing in commercial expansion to accelerate the growth of our Box Program business — and we need a hunter to lead the charge.
The Role
This is an enterprise business development and sales role, weighted roughly 80% outbound new business and 20% channel strategy and market mapping. You are a hunter. You build pipeline, find and qualify leads, develop executive relationships, and close deals. You are not managing existing accounts or processing inbound leads — you are creating opportunities from nothing and turning them into recurring revenue.
You’ll report directly to the COO, work closely with the leadership team, and have the chance to build a repeatable commercial engine from the ground floor.
What You’ll Do
Hunt & Generate Leads
- Prospect into net-new organizations through direct outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and strategic channel development
- Build a qualified pipeline of enterprise opportunities across Corporate and Healthcare channels — starting from the ground up
- Turn existing lead lists into a scalable, repeatable prospecting engine
Own the Full Sales Cycle
- Drive deals from first touch through signed partnership
- Develop and own executive-level relationships within target accounts
- Build account strategies that convert opportunities into recurring programs
- Hit pipeline-creation and revenue-growth targets
Grow the Market
- Identify and prioritize high-value channels and target accounts
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to leadership
- Help refine targeting strategies, value propositions, and partnership models
- Build a repeatable commercial process that supports future team growth
Represent the Brand
- Represent Planet Harvest at industry conferences, community events, and partner activations
- Increase visibility across the Corporate Impact and Food as Medicine ecosystems
Who You’ll Sell To
You’ll engage decision-makers such as:
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Community Affairs leaders
- Human Resources and Employee Engagement leaders
- Chief Health Officers and Population Health leaders
- Foundation executives and Community Impact leaders
- Healthcare partnership stakeholders
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
- Build a qualified pipeline of strategic enterprise opportunities
- Turn existing lead lists into a working, repeatable prospecting engine
- Open executive-level conversations within priority target accounts
- Map channel opportunities and prioritize the highest-value accounts
Months 6–12
- Convert qualified opportunities into signed, recurring partnerships
- Establish Planet Harvest as a recognized partner in target channels
- Build a scalable business development engine that supports team growth
- Feed market intelligence back to leadership to sharpen targeting
What You Bring
We’re looking for a business development professional who knows how to create opportunities from scratch and is energized by the chase.
Must-Haves
- Proven experience selling strategic programs, partnerships, or solutions into complex organizations
- A track record of building pipeline and closing new business as a hunter
- Comfort and credibility engaging executive-level decision-makers
- Self-starter mindset that thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous, build-it-from-scratch environment
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in one or more of: healthcare partnerships, population health, employee wellness/benefits, CSR, community impact, or enterprise partnerships
- Produce or food industry experience (helpful, not required)
Why Planet Harvest
Most sales roles ask you to sell a product. At Planet Harvest, you’ll help leading corporations, healthcare organizations, foundations, and nonprofits create measurable impact through food — while scaling programs that support employee engagement, community wellbeing, Food as Medicine, and food access.
You’ll join a company with proven customers, real market momentum, and executive support, with the rare chance to build something meaningful from the ground floor and own the commercial engine you create.
