At Movement Labs, our mission is to build a country that works for everyone.
We combine data, technology, and experimental methods with an army of passionate volunteers to build power. We use peer-to-peer texting to help grassroots organizing, recruit candidates to run for office, and help those candidates win. We look for opportunities to work in red and rural areas, and with communities that have too often been ignored.
Since we launched in 2017, we’ve sent over 500 million texts, worked with some of the nation’s top progressive organizations and campaigns in all 50 states and mobilized over 11,000 volunteers for change.
We invest any revenue from our operations into running experiments for the movement, incubating new social welfare organizations, or working pro-bono for no-budget critical grassroots activists. We are currently incubating Contest Every Race, which encourages activists to run for otherwise uncontested offices, supports candidates in rural areas, and works with state Democratic parties to invest in sustainable power building.
