Come by and see HAND (Housing and Neighborhood Development) at the Night Out Event.
On August 5, 2025 4PM-7PM at the Switchyard Park Picnic Shelter.
Enjoy interacting with members of The City of Bloomington: your local Police, Fire and EMS services. Featuring interactive displays, games, music, and food (while supplies last). Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1487779912190781/
- National Night Out is an annual initiative by the National Association of Town Watch, hosted annually on the first Tuesday of August by local police agencies across the country, to foster a strong relationship between first responders and the community members they serve.
Other City of Bloomington Departments (Members and employee) will also be in attendance.
HAND will be attending the annual National Night Out event at Switchyard Park on Tuesday, August 5, 4-7pm. We'll be bringing The Front Porch trailer and the popcorn machine, and will have swag and info about our programming to share with the public.

Save the Date for National Night Out!
August 5, from 4-7pm, we will be at Switchyard Park under the picnic shelter hosting another National Night Out event. Enjoy a memorable end to summer vacation by joining us at this free community event. There will be displays, games, music, and food as we celebrate what brings us together: community. We will be joined by other first responder agencies in Monroe County, City of Bloomington, IN - Office of the Mayor, as well as phenomenal organizations like the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Impact Teen Drivers Program and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). We hope to see you there! Other City Departments will be in attendance as well. There is a parking lot at the entrance off of Roger's Street and S. Walnut Street.
