Introduction to the AI Equity Framework: Evaluating AI Use Cases with Care

AI is already showing up across nonprofit work — in fundraising, communications, program design, operations, research, and decision-making. But before teams ask, “Can AI help us do this faster?” we need to ask better questions: Who benefits? Who could be harmed? What data is being used? What decisions are being shaped? And what human judgment must remain in place?

In this 60-minute practical session, participants will be introduced to an AI Equity Framework designed to help nonprofit teams evaluate whether an AI use case is responsible, equitable, and aligned with their mission. We’ll explore the foundations of AI equity, discuss common risks, and learn to apply the framework. Participants will leave with a clearer way to assess AI ideas before moving from curiosity to implementation.
