    Descripción

Some children arrive in Connecticut having already crossed more borders — literal and otherwise — than most adults ever will. They come alone, and what happens next depends on the people assigned to their corner. As a Case Manager in CCP's Unaccompanied Children program, you're that person.

    Why You'll Love Working Here

Children's Community Programs of Connecticut (CCP) serves children and families across the state, and we put real time into developing the people who do the work. Training here isn't reserved for managers: Lunch & Learn sessions with internal and external experts, leadership development workshops, and advanced training are part of the ordinary week. You'll report to a Lead Case Manager whose actual job is to grow you, inside a leadership structure that's organized, accessible, and serious about a sustainable workload. The fundamentals are covered — full medical, dental, and vision for your family, quarterly wellness time, Summer Fridays — plus a referral bonus when you bring good people with you. This is an employer built for the long arc of a career.

    What You'll Do

    • Carry a focused caseload of 8 children — small by design, so every child knows exactly who's in their corner
    • Build and monitor each child's individualized service and permanency plan
    • Assess physical, emotional, educational, medical, and social needs, then line up the services to meet them — mental health care, schooling, medical, legal representation
    • Visit homes regularly and back up foster parents, because stable placements start with supported caregivers
    • Show up in court hearings, treatment teams, and multidisciplinary meetings as the child's one constant across every system
    • Keep biological families, foster parents, attorneys, and stakeholders connected and informed
    • Document accurately and on time to agency, state, and ORR standards
    • Help older youth plan for independent living and the move into adulthood

What You'll Bring To The Table

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience serving children and/or families, preferably in child welfare
    • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
    • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; this role includes regular travel for home visits and court
    • Ability to pass background checks and child protective services screenings

    Preferred:

    • Master's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or a social services field
    • Experience serving immigrant populations, particularly unaccompanied minors or refugee youth

    Compensation: $55,000 – $60,720 annually

Children's Community Programs is a nonprofit organization and does not offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance. Candidates relocating independently are welcome to apply. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
