The State Counsel Division in the Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a litigator to serve as an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) in the Judgment Enforcement Team (JET), located in Albany. JET is a new unit within the Civil Recoveries Bureau (CVB) that is responsible for large-dollar, complex, and high-profile judgment enforcement on behalf of all OAG bureaus. The unit’s primary objective is to enforce money judgments, with expert efficiency, and to maximize the recovery of monies owed to the state. By concentrating resources within a dedicated team, CVB will streamline the enforcement process, strengthen deterrence against misconduct, and enhance outcomes for the people of New York.

Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York state and be admitted to practice law in New York state. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that OAG attorneys be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.
