Hospice volunteers come from all walks of life, yet they share a common desire—to enrich their own lives and the lives of others by generously giving their time, energy, and talents. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team and play a vital role in supporting patients, families, and staff. With multiple offices and partner facilities throughout Chicagoland, we are able to match volunteers with opportunities close to home.

Once trained, volunteers may serve in a variety of meaningful areas, including:

• Administrative support
• Direct patient care visits, providing companionship and emotional support
• Bereavement support
• Pet therapy
• Music therapy
• Other special complementary and alternative services
