The Piedmont Triad Regional Council Area Agency on Aging (PTRC AAA) administers federal, state, and local funding through contractual arrangements with the 12 counties in the region as well as other local agencies.
There are six standards which North Carolina’s Area Agencies on Aging meet. They are listed below with examples of our work.

- Funds Administration and Quality Assurance
- Information Brokerage
- Program, Resource and Systems Development
- Advocacy
