The Friends of the Robert A. Fahr Watervliet Public Library support the library's mission through advocacy and fundraising. "The Robert A Fahr Watervliet Public Library endeavors to be a "communi-library:" a library that enriches the lives of people of all ages in out community through creative programming, access to innovate technology and growing a modern collection of educational, informational, recreational and cultural materials. The library is committed to a fostering a life-long love of reading and learning through a positive library experience in a safe, clean and welcoming environment."

The Friends of the Robert A. Fahr Watervliet Public Library support the library's mission through advocacy and fundraising. All members of the Friends of the Library are volunteers. Potential volunteer duties include working with the group to organize and run fundraisers, managing the library book sale, and seeking donations from local business. This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for upbeat, creative individuals that value literacy and enjoy volunteering in a fun, social environment. The Friends of the Robert A. Fahr Watervliet Public Library does not collect membership dues. Joining is free.
