Adapted Recreation: Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation
Misión
The Mission of the Adapted Recreation program through Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation, is to help provide recreation opportunities for all residents, as well as adaptations and inclusion coaching in any appropriate Parks & Recreation program. We coach teachers, coaches and others to adapt programs. We help parents to support their child while they are learning good sportsmanship, turn taking, and other skills necessary to play with others.

For more than twenty years, we have provided specialized recreation programs, such as Adapted Aquatics, classes in theater, art, social skills and general recreation such as drop-in programs at our local community centers. We provide adapted playground equipment at all of our parks, parent support groups, Special Olympics and more!
