CASA of South Central KY recruits, trains, and supervises community volunteer Advocates to serve as court-appointed Advocates for abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes through no fault of their own. A Family Court Judge appoints the Advocate as an officer of the court to be a set of impartial eyes and ears on a case, and the Advocate will make regular recommendations to the Judge on how the child's needs can be best met to achieve permanency as soon as possible.
CASA of South Central KY serves Allen, Barren, Edmonson, Hart, Metcalfe, Simpson, and Warren counties. An advocate can live in any county, even one we don't serve, but we only serve the children and the courts in these seven counties.
You can find more information on volunteering and becoming an Advocate at www.casaofsck.org/volunteer or call us at (270) 782-5353.
