Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations

Afghanistan has been a member of the United Nations since 1946, and although the country has gone through significant changes in the past 60 years, Afghanistan remains dedicated to the values and principles enshrined in the United Nations charter. Recently, international cooperation has become even more crucial for Afghanistan and for the world. Afghanistan is committed to pursuing open, friendly dialogue in both bilateral and multilateral forums, and sees the United Nations as an important platform for international diplomacy.
