To achieve Zero Waste by providing excellent customer services that promote waste reduction, increase resource recovery and support the City of Austin's sustainability efforts.

Austin Resource Recovery recruits volunteers to serve as Zero Waste Ambassadors. Zero Waste Ambassadors assist with recycling and composting at special events, collecting materials at the City's Household Hazardous Waste Facility, and more!

Zero Waste Ambassadors play an integral role in helping Austin reach its Zero Waste goal to reduce the amount of trash sent to landfills by 90% by the year 2040.
