  • Misión

The mission of the NJ Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman (NJLTCO) is to receive, investigate and resolve complaints concerning certain health care facilities serving the elderly and to protect, preserve and promote the health, safety, welfare and civil and human rights of the residents 60 years of age or older, of such facilities. Our top service and advocacy priority is to eradicate abuse and neglect in long term care.

    Acerca de

Volunteer Advocates establish a visible presence within the facilities to represent the needs and concerns of residents. They are trained and certified by the NJ Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman to provide on-site advocacy to residents. Advocates complement the investigative function of the Ombudsman's Office by attempting to resolve issues at the lowest level in the long-term care facility and referring complaints of abuse or neglect and exploitation for investigation.
