New York City Councilmember Brad Lander represents the 39th Council District in Brooklyn, which includes the neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Park Slope, Gowanus, Columbia Waterfront, Windsor Terrace, Kensington and Borough Park. He is a founding member of the New York City Council Progressive Caucus and the Council's Deputy Leader for Policy. He is also the Board Chair of Local Progress, a national network of progressive municipal elected officials.
