  • Misión

The Foster Care Review Board has been serving Arizona Juvenile Courts for over 40 years. Our mission is based upon a belief that each child has a right to and is deserving of a permanent home where they are nurtured, loved and protected. The review is conducted in an atmosphere less formal than a court hearing, where the Board members, family and professionals gather to focus on the best interest of the child.

    Acerca de

The Foster Care Review Board (FCRB) volunteers are citizens from the community who are court appointed by the Presiding Juvenile Court Judge to serve on a five-member citizen review board. Volunteers commit one weekday a month to review the cases of children in foster care. Volunteers read various documents including court reports, case plans, psychological evaluations, drug screens, etc., and listen to the parties attending the reviews. The volunteers utilize this information to provide independent, unbiased, informed recommendations to the Juvenile Court and others regarding services and permanency options for the children.

Location Details: Volunteer opportunities are available in all of Arizona's 15 counties. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age, complete a fingerprint check and participate in an informal interview and observation process. Once appointed, volunteers receive the case information via a secure website.
