  • Acerca de

The CASA/GAL program provides trained community volunteers to advocate for the "best interests" of children who come into the court system as a result of abuse, neglect or dependency, recognizing the diverse needs of the children served which includes diversity in race, ethnicity, economic, gender and geographic needs.

Our mission is to recruit, guide, monitor and maintain qualified CASA volunteers who are appointed by the Wood County Juvenile Court Judge as Guardians ad Litem to advocate for the best interests of the children who are before the court as a result of abuse, neglect and dependency as defined by the state child welfare laws. CASA/GAL volunteers serve as an independent voice throughout the juvenile court proceedings, until a safe and permanent home is found for each child.
