The Civic Center Authority is committed to serve as stewards in the preservation and promotion of the historic, archeological, and natural environments within the boundaries of the authority and to promote the cultural, historic, recreational and economic development of the National Heritage Corridor.

We operate the I & M Canal NHC Visitors Center in Bedford Park, IL and own the Santa Fe Prairie in Hodgkins, IL. Our goal is to preserve and promote the I & M Canal and Santa Fe Prairie.
