Olympic Area Agency on Aging, The Olympic Area Agency on Aging exists to help seniors and persons with disabilities maintain their dignity, health and independence in their homes through a comprehensive and coordinated system of home and community-based services. Information & Assistance Specialists provide free consultations, assistance, and advocacy for elders, their families, friends, and other interested parties on the north Olympic peninsula. Our staff is sensitive and knowledgeable—we understand the challenges and frustrations elders and people with disabilities face every day. What’s more, we’re effective. We’re experienced in working through “the system” and we know the ins-and-outs of a wide range of resources available to seniors.

Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) provide free, unbiased information about health care coverage and access to help improve the lives of all Washington state residents. We cultivate community commitment through partnership, service and volunteering. SHIBA volunteer advisors give seniors and people with disabilities the latest Medicare and health care coverage information. Information & Assistance sponsors the SHIBA program that is part of the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner’s consumer protection services.
