Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR and Compliance Coordinator to support the Chief of Finance and HR (CFHR). This role plays a vital part in supporting the day-to-day Human Resources operations—including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration—while also managing critical compliance-related responsibilities.
The HR and Compliance Coordinator ensures that our organization remains aligned with internal policies and government contract requirements. This position collaborates closely with the operations and program teams, contributes to compliance monitoring, supports internal audits, and manages a range of HR-related administrative tasks.
Human Resources Support
- Assist with full-cycle recruitment: job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
- Coordinate job offers, background checks, and employment contracts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job postings internally and externally
- Organize and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation
- Support benefits administration, especially during open enrollment
- Track and manage employee leave, vacation, and other absences
Compliance Coordination
- Monitor and track staff compliance with annual requirements: background checks (FBI, MPD, NSO), drug screens, TB tests, CPR certification, and trainings
- Assist with managing and filing contract deliverables and close-out documents
- Support internal audits and maintain organized records for compliance activities
- Prepare monthly compliance reports and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Maintain security and confidentiality of sensitive compliance documentation
- Help develop, implement, and communicate compliance policies and updates
- Assist in preparation for external audits and implementation of corrective actions
Other Duties
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CFHR

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Preferred: 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources, compliance, or a related field
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must have own transportation for occasional off-site responsibilities
- Must be able to:
- Move, lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 30 pounds
- Bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead or below the knees
- Ascend or descend multiple flights of stairs
- Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
