    Position Summary

    • The SchoolBased Behavioral Health Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership for behavioral health staff delivering services in school settings. This role ensures

    high quality, compliance, and effective care for students through supervision, coaching, and partnerships with school and district stakeholders.

    The Supervisor works closely with the Director of School-Based Behavioral Health Integration & Impact to support implementation of an Integrated Behavioral Health Model within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework in school settings.

    Work Schedule Expectations

    The regular work schedule will primarily align with the school week and school hours. You can expect to have designated in-person working hours an average of three days per week, which may involve meeting staff at their schools or working in the office. However, there will be occasions—such as during crises or when representing the agency—when you may need to work or respond in the evenings or on weekends. During the summer months, the schedule is more flexible, but you are still expected to work 40 hours a week, over three designated days each week.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Supervision & Staff Development

    • Provide direct comprehensive supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations, especially to school-based staff (BHSS, therapists, social workers, counselors, and clinicians) who carry complex cases.
    • Maintain an intensive onboarding and board supervision model for newly hired staff, including weekly (1-2 sessions) supervision during the first 90 days or more, with additional support as needed to strengthen clinical practice, school collaboration, professional performance, and successful engagement with school staff and administrators.
    • Support staff in delivering evidence-based, culturally responsive care
    • Develop improvement plans for staff not meeting performance expectations
    • Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development,
    • Developing, monitoring, and supporting staff through professional development and performance plans, including KPIs.

    Program Oversight & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure compliance with clinical, documentation, and scope of work with contract standards (including EHR/INSYNC)
    • Review and approve clinical documentation, timecards, and reimbursement requests
    • Support data collection, reporting, and analysis to drive program improvement
    • Participate in quality management activities (peer reviews, audits, etc.)
    • Ensure adherence to HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
    • Impact on data and results orientation (data-driven & outcome-based).

    School & Community Partnership

    • Actively collaborate with school administrators, district leaders, and community partners
    • Represent YES in school and community meetings
    • Support development of school-based programming, including prevention and intervention services
    • Maintain strong communication and partnership across schools, families, and providers.
    • Hold regular check-in meetings to foster strong collaboration and partnerships with administrators, school counselors, and other necessary stakeholders.
    • Promptly notify the COO & Director of any emerging concerns or challenges with school staff or administrators that may affect partnerships, service delivery, or program operations, to allow for timely support, problem-solving, and prevention of escalation.

    Crisis Response & Clinical Support

    • Provide consultation and oversight for:
    • Suicide risk assessments and protocols
    • Substance use screenings and interventions
    • Support staff and schools in crisis response and coordination
    • Provide and available clinical support to school-based staff.

    Program Development & Integration

    • Support implementation of the Integrated MTSS Behavioral Health Model (Tier 1, 2, and 3)
    • Assist in aligning school-based services with Agency-Based and Community-Based programs
    • Contribute to strategic initiatives and cross-program collaboration

    Leadership & Organizational Engagement

    • Participate in agency leadership meetings including Clinical Sups, etc.) and initiatives
    • Contribute to agency-wide efforts such as TIA, DEI
    • B, and Zero Suicide
    • Support staff in training, events, and program development efforts, etc.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Licensed in a behavioral health field in Washington State (eligible to supervise Master’s-level clinicians and associates)
    • SUDP (or eligible/on track to supervise SUDPT staff) preferred
    • Demonstrated 2+ years of experience supervising clinical staff
    • Experience working in school-based or youth behavioral health settings
    • Strong knowledge of:
    • Evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, etc.)
    • Suicide prevention and risk assessment
    • Substance use assessment and intervention
    • MTSS framework

    Compensation

    $79,462 to $94,334 annually, depending on licensure and experience
