Who we are:
Brighter Boston is a nonprofit workforce development organization bridging the gap between education and real-world careers in live entertainment. We provide hands-on technical training, paid internships, and holistic career support to young adults historically excluded from the arts ages 16-25. Our participants gain in-demand skills in lighting, audio, video, and set construction while building networks that connect them directly with professionals and employers in the industry.
Our Culture:
We believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. That’s why we champion learning by doing, mentorship from working professionals, and setting bold goals for the young people in our programs. Our team embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and a shared belief in the power of the arts to build community and change lives. Brighter Boston is a coalition of young people, production companies, and events professionals working to open the doors of Boston’s entertainment industry to the next generation of entertainment industry professionals.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate, organized, and community-driven Resource and Development Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to build relationships, amplify our mission, and ensure long-term sustainability through strategic fundraising and external partnerships. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director to lead fundraising initiatives and to strengthen and support partner engagement. You’ll play a key role in implementing our annual development plan, and be an external facing champion of the organization, helping Brighter Boston grow its impact and reach.
