Background:
Food on Foot is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals achieve long-term stability through employment, financial empowerment, and permanent housing. Our Jobs & Housing Program supports participants from their first day of employment through housing placement and beyond, providing individualized coaching and ongoing support to help them maintain housing and build successful, independent lives.
The Future Forward Program serves participants who have recently moved into permanent housing and are committed to continuing their personal, professional, and financial growth.
Position Summary:
The Resource Coach is responsible for providing individualized case management, financial coaching, and ongoing support to participants enrolled in Food on Foot's Jobs & Housing program. This role focuses on helping participants maintain housing, increase financial stability, strengthen employment, and achieve long-term independence.
The Resource Coach manages a caseload of approximately 20 participants and works collaboratively with the Director of Programs and Director of Community Services to develop meaningful programming, build community partnerships, and connect participants with educational workshops and resources. As part of a small, collaborative team, the Resource Coach will have the opportunity to help shape and expand the Future Forward curriculum while building relationships with community organizations that support participant success.
The Resource Coach reports directly to the Director of Programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized case management to participants enrolled in the Future Forward Program.
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 20 participants through regular meetings, phone calls, and ongoing support.
- Monitor participant progress toward financial goals, including budgeting, savings milestones, and overall financial stability.
- Assist participants in developing realistic action plans that support long-term housing retention and career advancement.
- Conduct regular evaluations and progress reviews while maintaining accurate and timely case notes in the program database.
- Advocate for participants by helping them navigate community resources, employment opportunities, educational programs, and supportive services.
- Support participants in maintaining stable employment and identifying opportunities for career growth and advancement.
- Assist with the development, coordination, and facilitation of the Future Forward curriculum, including workshops focused on financial literacy, career development, wellness, and life skills.
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Services to identify, recruit, and maintain relationships with community organizations, guest speakers, and service providers to deliver workshops and educational programming.
- Build and maintain partnerships with employers, financial institutions, educational organizations, and other community resources that enhance participant success.
- Track participant outcomes, program benchmarks, and required documentation.
- Participate in Sunday program operations and support overall Jobs & Housing Program activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Jobs & Housing team to continually improve participant services and program outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Equivalent professional experience in case management or human services may be substituted.
- Minimum of three years of experience providing case management, coaching, workforce development, financial coaching, or related human services.
- Experience working with individuals transitioning into long-term stability is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial literacy, budgeting, savings strategies, and goal-based coaching.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong, supportive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and participant accountability.
- Comfortable facilitating workshops and speaking with community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to network and cultivate relationships with community organizations and service providers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn client databases and reporting systems.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.

Schedule - This is a full-time, 40-hour hybrid position.
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Required)
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (In Office)
- Remaining hours are worked remotely.
Salary - $54,000–$62,000 annually, depending on experience.
Job Type - Full-Time
Work Location - Hybrid
- Mandatory in-person work on Sundays and Tuesdays.
- Remote work for the remainder of the workweek.
