    Descripción

What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

Today, we are an alliance of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and a national office that work in communities across the United States to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. NAMI advocates for all who are affected by mental illness, both the individuals and the people in their lives. We work to address disparities and injustices and to promote dignity and inclusion for all people with mental illness and their families. In addition to being advocates, we educate, we listen, and we lead as evidenced by our public awareness campaigns, the range of programs we provide, and our strong public policy.

We currently have an opening for a Manager, Digital Services. The Manager, Digital Services plays a key role in improving the effectiveness, usability, and impact of NAMI.org and connected digital platforms. This role combines hands-on web content execution with strategic insight into SEO, user experience, and digital performance. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Services, the manager collaborates across departments to build and update content, support new site sections, and optimize the digital experience for key audiences.

As part of the Marketing & Communications team, this position works closely with the Web Production Manager to support day-to-day content publishing, while also contributing to larger-scale content initiatives and improvements. The manager helps ensure that NAMI’s web content is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals—and uses actionable data and user insights to help guide teams in improving content structure, messaging, and engagement across the site.

This full-time position is based out of our Arlington VA office 3 days per week. May work hybrid the additional 2 days.

    Salary Range: $65- $70k

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve as a key contributor to digital projects related to NAMI.org—working alongside the Web Production Manager and others to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
    • Support the Senior Manager of Digital Services in implementing strategies to improve content discoverability, user journeys, and overall site functionality.
    • Monitor web performance and user behavior using tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and heatmapping tools, and apply insights to improve content and user flow.
    • Assist with planning and executing digital campaigns, ensuring that campaign landing pages and related web elements are effectively built, integrated, and optimized.
    • Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to ensure digital content is optimized for SEO, accessibility, and performance across all platforms and devices.
    • Contribute to the creation and implementation of new content sections, landing pages, and site updates that enhance the user experience and support evolving organizational goals.
    • Assist the Web Production Manager with day-to-day content updates and builds in the CMS, including posting new content, refreshing existing sections, and supporting overall site maintenance on NAMI.org and connected platforms.
    • Use data and performance insights to help guide content owners in improving structure, messaging, and layout for better engagement, accessibility, and discoverability.
    • Promote consistent user experience (UX) and interface standards across NAMI.org and connected platforms, ensuring that digital experiences are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with brand and mission.
    • Support SEO initiatives through page audits, metadata improvements, keyword implementation, and on-page optimization to drive traffic and improve search rankings.

    • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and hands-on experience optimizing web content for search and discoverability.
    • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and basic use of data to guide content decisions.
