The position is to be filled as soon as possible as a parental leave replacement in a part-time capacity. It is initially limited until 30 June 2026, with a good prospect of extension until 31 December 2026. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
As Food Security Standard (FSS) Advisor, you will contribute to the intensification and expansion of FSS partnerships with stakeholders from business, science, politics and non-governmental organizations and help companies meet their social responsibility towards the cultivation of agricultural export products in the global south. Together with the FSS team, you will support companies and sustainability standards in implementing the FSS. In cooperation with internal and external partners, you will contribute to the further development of the FSS.
Your responsibilities
- Further development and implementation of a strategy to acquire and maintain (corporate) partners along the entire agricultural value chain
- Increasing the relevance and visibility of the FSS by representing and positioning it in political and economic committees and at relevant events
- Management of sub-projects with a focus on corporate cooperation
- Advising companies along the value chain
- Collaboration with sustainability platforms (e.g., NAP, INA, ISEAL)
- Providing guidance on the integration of the FSS into development projects
- Maintenance and further development of FSS publications and the FSS communication presence (content, texts, design, tools)
- Briefing, coordination, and monitoring of agencies and contracted service providers
- Planning and implementation of (international) events
- Briefing, controlling and monitoring of agencies and contractors
- Conception and implementation of (international) events
- Creation, maintenance and publication of FSS system documents
- Acquisition of third-party funds
Your profile
- Completed university degree (university of applied sciences or higher) in a relevant field
- At least three years of professional experience in a task-relevant area
- Experience in coordinating and implementing multi-stakeholder projects
- Strong understanding of corporate responsibility and due diligence requirements
- Proven track record in event management
- Awareness of the growing value of data in the field and motivation to strengthen skills to integrate data-driven approaches into the work
- High level of accountability, structured working style, and strong organisational skills
