Director, Program Strategy & Implementation
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates based in GA, NC, SC, MS, or LA)
Reports To: Deputy Executive Director
Salary Range: $125,000–$140,000

About the Role
Way to Win is seeking a strategic, execution-oriented leader to serve as our Director of Program Strategy & Implementation.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, and execution. The Director will lead key initiatives, strengthen relationships with state-based partners, and help move organizational priorities from vision to action. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing complex projects, facilitating partnerships, coordinating across teams, and driving results.
What You'll Do
- Lead implementation of priority programs, initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Manage cross-functional work across Programs, Political Strategy, Communications, Advising, Development, Finance, and Operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, movement leaders, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate convenings, trainings, briefings, and strategic meetings.
- Develop implementation plans, project timelines, and accountability systems.
- Translate partner insights and field intelligence into strategic recommendations.
- Support donor engagement, strategic communications, and organizational planning efforts.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in advocacy, organizing, politics, philanthropy, civic engagement, or movement-building.
- Strong project management and implementation, including experience working across teams and driving projects to completion.
- Work experience with some combination of electoral strategy, narrative strategy, grantmaking, and movement-building ecosystems.
- Excellent writing, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with c3, c4, PAC, political, advocacy, or philanthropic environments is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $125,000–$140,000, plus a competitive benefits package including healthcare, retirement, flexible time off, and organizational closures.

Our Interview Process

Step 1: Resume & Video Interview Review
What to Expect: Our team will review your resume and one-way video interview to learn more about your background, skills, and interest in the role.
Step 2: Introductory Conversation (30 Minutes)
Who: Hiring Manager
Purpose: This conversation is an opportunity to learn more about the role, discuss your experience, and explore how your background aligns with the position. You'll also have the chance to ask questions about the team and the work.
Step 3: Panel Interview (45–60 Minutes)
Who: Program team members and Human Resources
Purpose: This interview will focus on your previous experience, approach to the work, and how you navigate challenges. Expect behavioral and situational questions that help us understand your skills, judgment, and collaboration style.
Step 4: Final Interview with Senior Leadership (30–45 Minutes)
Who: Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director
Purpose: The final conversation focuses on leadership competencies, organizational fit, and your potential impact within the role. You'll also have time to ask any remaining questions about the organization, team, and priorities.
Hiring Decision: Following the final interview, our team will complete reference checks (if applicable after Step 3) and make a hiring decision in conjunction with Step 4. Candidates will be notified as soon as possible regarding next steps.
