Position Overview
The Development Officer’s primary responsibility is to steward and grow the major donor portfolios for our Washington, DC, and New Orleans regions, and to serve as the primary point of contact for regional foundation funders. The Development Officer will be located in the DC area and reports to the Director of Individual Giving.

Accessibility
The interview process will be conducted entirely remotely via phone and video conferencing. The applicant may be asked to complete a compensated skills assessment as well, which will be done via video conferencing.
This role includes in person work responsibilities such as traveling around the DC metro area for meetings with donors, participants and stakeholders, hosting Advisory Council meetings and donor events, and attending other local programs and events. Events hosted in DC for development purposes may require the Development Officer to do minor physical activities such as standing, and moving and arranging furniture and materials at events. This role also requires travel to New Orleans at least one time per year to meet with donors and perform similar event-related tasks.
