    Overview

Lifting Hands International (LHI) is a humanitarian organization that centers the needs, voices, and priorities of people impacted by war and disaster to create high-impact, community-led solutions. We work in solidarity with refugees and displaced people, because we trust in their ability to lead their own recovery and shape their own future. Our evidence-based initiatives empower people to survive, heal, thrive, rebuild, and resettle. We also seek to unite and inspire a global community of advocates and NGOs to strengthen long-term, international support for displaced people. At LHI, we don’t offer handouts—we offer a hand up. Our work is rooted in a deep understanding and respect for each individual and community’s context and potential. The LHI Humanitarian Aid Warehouse in American Fork, Utah, is a vibrant space where dedicated volunteers and staff work tirelessly to prepare international shipments of donated critical relief supplies around the world, as well as support and mentor refugee families resettling in Utah. This isn’t an ordinary warehouse, it’s a community of care where people are united by the spirit of humanitarianism. As the primary fundraiser at the warehouse, the person in this position will convert this spirit of volunteerism into donors for LHI. As a privately funded organization, we rely on small and individual donors (not churches or governments) to do this valuable work. Help us build a culture of financial giving through our pool of Utah volunteers.

    Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Engagement at the Warehouse (40%)

    • Greet and welcome adult volunteer groups participating in humanitarian aid service projects at LHI’s Humanitarian Aid Warehouse
    • Deliver a brief, compelling impact talk before they begin their project
    • Mingle with volunteers during the project to build rapport and identify potential supporters
    • Manage audiovisuals and donation platforms at the warehouse
    • Develop systems to capture email addresses for volunteers

    Corporate Sponsorship & Community Give-Back Outreach (40%)

    • Research and reach out to Utah businesses for sponsorships, employee engagement opportunities, and give-back programs
    • Build and maintain relationships with corporate contacts, wealth advisor groups, and community leaders
    • Represent LHI at networking events to increase visibility and partnerships
    • Track and follow up on leads to convert into meaningful financial or in-kind partnerships

Donor Cultivation & Network Building (20%)

    • Meet one-on-one with existing and prospective donors in Utah to share impact stories and deepen relationships
    • Steward donors with personalized follow-up and gratitude
    • Engage donors to host house parties and make introductions of new fundraising leads to LHI.
    • Convert warm leads into new donors or sponsors

    Who You Are

    • A natural people-person: friendly, warm, and confident speaking to individuals and groups
    • A strong storyteller who can share emotional, mission-centered stories that move people to act
    • Comfortable asking for support—whether it's a $25 gift or a $10,000 corporate sponsorship
    • Organized and proactive in managing outreach, follow-ups, and donor data
    • Energized by being on your feet, meeting new people, and helping others connect with a meaningful cause

    Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of experience in fundraising, sales, community engagement, or a similar outreach role
    • Relevant undergraduate degree is a plus
    • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to build relationships and manage multiple contacts at once
    • High energy, strong organizational skills, and passion for LHI’s mission is essential
    • Available between 9am to 1pm Monday - Friday and for occasional evenings or weekends when groups are scheduled
    • Located in or near American Fork, Utah

    Pay & Benefits
