Bus Driver/Maintenance Worker

National Cathedral School seeks an experienced bus driver and maintenance worker who believes in the power of young women and is dedicated to nurturing their curiosity and potential. This is a full time position that will involve driving afternoon athletic trips with occasional day time field trips. When not scheduled for trips, the position is a maintenance position, helping with event set-up and facilities maintenance related tasks. This position does require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger and Air Break designation or intent to get one upon hiring. Work hours for this position are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm with eligibility for overtime work and pay.

Responsibilities include:

• Transporting students or faculty/staff to and from off-site school functions.
• Maintaining building interiors, and providing responsible general maintenance to all areas of the school buildings.
• Ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and attractive conditions of school buildings are maintained.
• Driving the school shuttle to the metro during scheduled shuttle times.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the various bus fleets.
