Works under the direction of the Communications Director
Role Purpose:
The Contract Communications Associate provides interim communications execution support during a transition period while the Foundation for the Mid South recruits a permanent Communications Associate. This role focuses on maintaining continuity across content development, digital communications, campaigns, and reporting under the direction of the Communications Director.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused contract role designed to ensure communications operations remain consistent, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities. This role does not include supervisory or managerial authority.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 3+ years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or digital content development; nonprofit or mission-driven experience preferred.
