Epic Theatre Center, Inc. (aka Epic Theatre Ensemble), a 25-year old Off-Broadway producing and educational organization, seeks a F/T Company Manager in a position that combines duties traditionally associated with this position at a regional theatre with elements of Office Management as well as - ideally - Production Stage Management. The ideal candidate is an AEA Stage Manager who is seeking to combine 22 weeks of stage management work Off-Broadway or on TYA touring contract with the administrative and personnel duties associated with Office and Company Management. Said candidate would be eligible for full-time health coverage as well as pension benefits through AEA.
For an AEA Stage Manager, the position pays $1200/week, with health benefits beginning approximately 4 months after start date on or around September 21, 2026. For a candidate who is NOT an AEA Stage Manager, the position pays $900/wk., 30 hours per week. In either case the Initial contract period would run until August 20, 2027, with an option for immediate 2-year extension through 2029.
Duties and responsibilities include:
COMPANY MANAGER
- Maintain up-to-the-day schedule of rehearsals, classes, workshops, for all staff, Ensemble members, and associate TAs. Assisting with re-schedules as necessary. Coordinating space booking calendar with other companies that share Epic’s rehearsal space.
- Maintain organization of all curricular materials for TA residencies and workshops, as well as collecting and organizing TA assessments.
- Making travel arrangements for out-of-town TA residencies (such as WA State), college access trips, and Youth Ensemble performance gigs.
- Coordinating schedule of Alumni Council meetings and events, including Writers’ Workshops.
- Assisting in planning of company-wide events, including retreats and TA trainings.
OFFICE MANAGER
- Managing all contracts with partner schools through the Department of Education, including joining planning meetings, building proposals and Work Orders, managing Purchase Order process, collecting documentation, and managing invoicing and payment.
- Assisting with management of other educational partners’ receivables, such as grants, commissions, touring payments.
- Maintaining all office supplies, as well as necessary subscriptions (i.e. Zoom)
- Assisting with in-house mailings as well as monthly digital newsletters
- Acting as liaison between Executives/Program Managers and ArtsPool, our bookkeeping back office, in terms of receipts and reimbursements
- Administering hospitality needs, including weekly snacks for several student programs
- Maintaining contracts with out-of-state entities such as WA Department of Labor
- Contributing to the comfort of office and rehearsal room, including sourcing new furniture
- Assisting with organization and maintenance of external costume/props/furniture storage
- Booking outside rehearsal space as needed
- Contract management of rental spaces for rehearsal and performance
Ideally: PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER
- PSM (or ASM) for 22 weeks/year on two contracts (Fall 2026 + Spring 2027), full health insurance benefits beginning approx. January 2027

Compensación
AEA Stage Managers will receive full pension and health benefits based on 22 weeks of AEA employment (i.e. full health benefits beginning approximately January 2027 after lookback)
