    About Us

New Majority Capital Foundation (NMCF) is a mission-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to eliminating persistent wealth gaps across the United States. We believe in the transformative power of entrepreneurship to create generational wealth and bridge the ownership divide.

Our flagship initiative, bETA, is a 10-week Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) accelerator that equips underrepresented entrepreneurs with the skills, network, and resources to acquire, operate, and scale small businesses. Fellows receive training, mentorship, post-program support, and assistance with access to capital.

Our bETA accelerator launches aspiring entrepreneurs into the world of small business acquisition. But graduation is just the beginning. We are building a vibrant, high-impact community to help our alumni succeed.

To date we have run 9 programs with 300 alumni and plan to run 5 more in the next year, graduating an additional 180 alumni.

    About the Role

We’re looking for an Alumni Community Manager who lives and breathes connection. You’ll be the center of the bETA alumni network—sparking collaborations, hosting unforgettable events, and making sure every alum knows they have the resources, relationships, and support to acquire and grow a business.

If you thrive at the intersection of people, strategy, and action—and love the idea of working with a network of ambitious entrepreneurs—this role is for you.

    Key Responsibilities

Keep the Community Connected & Thriving

    • Build genuine relationships with alumni so you know their wins, challenges, and next moves.
    • Curate an online community where members actually want to hang out, share insights, and help each other.
    • Be the ultimate connector—matching alumni with peers, investors, mentors, and deal support resources.

Create Meaningful Experiences That Promote Acquisition

    • Strategize, plan and host monthly virtual meetups, topical workshops, and periodic in-person alumni gatherings that leave people inspired and better connected.
    • Manage roll out of monthly virtual sessions featuring speakers to discuss specific topics of interest in the small business acquisition space and time for peer connection.
    • Bring in speakers, experts, and partners from our growing network who can deliver value to our alumni.
    • Nail the logistics so events run smoothly and stay on budget.

    Accelerate Deal Flow

    • Help alumni navigate the small business acquisition process by connecting them with vetted resources, advisors, and technical support.
    • Keep your finger on the pulse of alumni deals so you can jump in with resources at the right moment.
    • Identify new resources needed (templates, tools, FAQs etc) and work with the team to make them available to alumni.

    Measure & Share Impact

    • Track alumni engagement, deal activity, and business and personal financial outcomes.
    • Turn data into insights to guide programming and show our stakeholders the power of the network.
    • Capture and share alumni success stories that inspire others to join in.
    • Manage monthly alumni newsletter content and production.

    Build Partnerships

    • Grow relationships with ecosystem partners who can offer mentorship, funding, or expertise.
    • Build relationships with bETA location-based business brokers who can participate in our events and get to know the alumni.
    • Represent NMCF and the bETA alumni community at industry events, webinars and conferences.

    What You Bring

    • 3–5 years experience in community management, alumni relations, event planning, or program coordination.
    • Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building abilities; proven track record of managing multiple priorities effectively. You connect easily with a wide range of people and build trust quickly.
    • You can dream up great ideas and make them happen—on time, on budget, and with impact.
    • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Asana, Zoom, LMS platforms, CRM tools, and (most importantly) comfort learning new tools and applying AI to expedite your work, while maintaining transparency and accountability..
    • You are data savvy and know how to use CRMs, analytics tools, and online platforms to keep the community informed and engaged.
    • Fluency in/lived experience in wealth gap impacts and socioeconomic nuances among historically marginalized populations
    • Mission-Aligned: You believe in entrepreneurship as a path to economic mobility and understand the systemic challenges underrepresented founders face.

    Work Location

NMCF is a remote-first organization. This position is remote with the exception of mandatory in-person days before, during, and immediately after each accelerator cohort is onboarded in addition to team offsites, program and ad hoc events, and all-hands meetings. Travel more than 100 miles will be reimbursed and is expected for the following:

    • Annual offsites with national team
    • In-person presentations as needed
    • Conferences
    • bETA launches, accelerator programming and alumni events

    Why You’ll Love It Here

We are a dedicated, collaborative and mission-driven team, and the joy of this position is seeing the direct impact of our work on the underrepresented entrepreneurs whose dreams are realized through ETA.

We (actually) live by our values:
