    Descripción

Brooklyn Bridge Park, one of the most transformative public projects in New York City in a generation, has revitalized a formerly industrial waterfront into a dynamic 85-acre civic space. Created to be environmentally and financially sustainable, Brooklyn Bridge Park is a model for resilient urban design that reconnects New Yorkers and visitors to the waterfront. Brooklyn Bridge Park (BBP) operates as a non-profit public benefit corporation of the City of New York and is responsible for the stewardship of the park—maintaining its landscapes, maritime infrastructure, and public amenities. BBP develops and delivers dynamic public programming that weaves together arts and culture, recreation, and environmental education to engage, inspire, and serve a diverse community.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is Brooklyn Bridge Park’s philanthropic partner, dedicated to enhancing every aspect of the Park experience. Through strategic fundraising efforts, the Conservancy supports capital improvements, dynamic public programming, and long-term sustainability initiatives that keep this world-class public space vibrant, welcoming, and accessible for all. The Conservancy cultivates meaningful partnerships with individuals, foundations, and corporations to invest in the Park’s continued growth and success.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is looking to hire an Individual Giving Manager as an integral part of the Development team, responsible for securing and stewarding individual donors at all levels. The Individual Giving Manager will manage a diverse portfolio of donors and lead initiatives that deepen relationships, expand donor engagement, and increase philanthropic investment in the Park.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of individual donors, ranging from new supporters to major contributors by building and sustaining meaningful relationships aligned with the Park's priorities.
    • Lead face-to-face solicitation efforts and collaborate with senior leadership to present compelling cases for support.
    • Identify and qualify new donor prospects to broaden and strengthen the individual giving pipeline. Conduct detailed prospect research to inform tailored cultivation and engagement plans.
    • Staff and help grow the Bridge Council, the Park's mid-level donor affinity group, and implement a pipeline strategy to guide members toward increased giving, including major and planned gifts.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, digital outreach, and personalized appeals.
    • Design donor retention, renewal, and upgrade strategies to build long-term philanthropic commitment.
    • Plan and implement donor-focused events such as private tours, intimate gatherings, and recognition events that highlight the Park’s mission and impact.
    • Play a role in leveraging the Park's signature events—Brooklyn Bridge Park Gala and Women’s Lunch—as platforms for deeper donor engagement and ongoing support.
    • Collaborate with the Special Events team to create cohesive donor experiences that extend beyond one-time participation.
    • Use data insights to evaluate fundraising performance and refine strategy accordingly.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of four years of fundraising experience, including at least three years of direct frontline donor engagement.
    • Demonstrated success in securing individual gifts and managing a donor portfolio.
    • Proven experience with multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, major gifts, and special events.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
    • Proficiency in donor management software such as Bloomerang or equivalent CRM platforms.
    • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support donor events and engagement opportunities.

    About You:

    • You strive to be inclusive and collaborative. At BBP, we recognize that doing our best work means working together. We have each other’s back – and are helpful, humble and open.
    • You are committed. At BBP, we approach our work with integrity, positivity, and pride. We are committed to the public, the park and each other.
    • You are a problem-solver. At BBP, we prioritize learning, evolving and building creative solutions to ensure the Park remains a leader in sustainable green space for generations to come.
    • You value people and the environment. At BBP, respect is important to us. We strive to trust each other, act with good intention and communicate with openness.
