Location: Greater New Orleans Area, 5 days a week in person

Reports To: Canvass Team Lead, Data Manager

End Date: November 3, 2026

Compensation

Hourly Wage: 18.75

Hours per Week: 20

Position Description

The purpose of the Canvasser role is to participate in direct voter contact efforts to achieve the NEJOPA's voter contact goals for the Public Service Commission District 1. The role will report to their Canvass Team lead and the Data Manager, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes
• Comfort talking to and working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences
• Good listening skills or the willingness to quickly grow your listening skills
• Comfort with the MiniVAN operating system or a willingness to learn the system
• Strong preference given to applicants who have a dependable vehicle

Responsibilities:

• Complete 4-5 canvassing shifts per week
• Canvass 2-3 events over the course of the program alongside the entire canvassing team
• Complete a not yet determined amount of shifts of phonebanking on an autodialer

Hours:

• Tuesday-Saturday 4pm-8pm
