    ABOUT US

    SafeFutures Youth Center is seeking a Deputy Director. The Deputy Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the programs team, managing human resources, leading development and supporting the Executive Director in strategic planning and organizational development. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and growth of the organization. The position will be a collaborative effort with the Executive Director and Management Staff.

    PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Program Management

     Oversee the development, execution, and evaluation of all programs

     Ensure program alignment with organizational mission and goals

     Monitor program performance and implement improvements as needed

    Human Resources Management

     Lead hiring processes for new staff members

     Develop and implement effective onboarding procedures

     Oversee staff development and training initiatives

     Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures

     Manage contractor relationships and performance

    Organizational Culture and Development

     Foster a welcoming and inclusive organizational culture

     Collaborate with the Executive Director on strategic planning and vision

     Interface with the Board of Directors, building strong relationships

     Participate in annual budget creation and financial oversight

     External Relations and Fundraising

     Lead development team (including the Development Director and grant writing team)

     Focus on increasing private donor pool with development team

     Support fundraising efforts by engaging with stakeholders

     Assist in grant management and reporting

     Represent the organization in external meetings and events

    Qualifications

     Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred

     5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the nonprofit sector

     Strong strategic planning and execution skills

     Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

     Proven track record in program development and management

     Experience in HR management and organizational development

     Proficiency in budget management and financial oversight

     Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders

     The position requires presence in the local community near our service area (both in office and remote)

     The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a passion for our mission and the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals. The Deputy Director often acts as the organization's leader in the absence of the Executive Director, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the organization's operations and goals.
