    OVERVIEW

    Catalyst:Ed seeks a strategic and detail-oriented Manager, Data & Insights to lead internal data management and analysis related to organizational impact. Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy & Impact, this team member sits on the Strategy & Services team and will manage the full data lifecycle for impact data—ensuring data are accurate, insights are actionable, and reporting is insightful.

    The Manager will work cross-functionally across Catalyst:Ed and collaborate closely with the Product & Tech team to maintain and improve data infrastructure, including systems integration and workflow design. They will support teams in tracking progress toward our KPIs and theory of change, lead data analysis to surface insights, and develop reporting that clearly communicates our impact to funders and stakeholders.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage the Data Lifecycle

    • Lead the day-to-day management of internal impact data—ensuring data is accurate, integrated, and accessible.
    • Serve as a thought partner to the Product & Tech team in maintaining and improving internal data infrastructure, providing input on the use of platforms and tools such as Airtable, Qualtrics, and Zapier.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to align data systems with organizational KPIs, theories of change, and evolving strategic priorities.
    • Maintain clear documentation and workflows to ensure the sustainability and usability of impact data systems across teams.

    Conduct Rigorous Analyses & Generate Insights

    • Conduct hands-on analysis of impact data (quantitative and qualitative) to surface trends, track progress, and generate insights that inform strategic decision-making.
    • Build dashboards and visualizations that help teams interpret progress against goals and key outcomes.
    • Lead the development of funder-facing reports and internal impact communications—ensuring clarity, rigor, and alignment with external reporting requirements.
    • Create and maintain a standardized approach to tracking and sharing organizational progress and learning.

    Build Internal Capacity

    • Collaborate with teams to design data collection tools aligned to strategic priorities, learning questions, and reporting needs
    • Develop systems and dashboards that support goal-setting and progress monitoring across teams
    • Create templates, guides, and training resources to build internal fluency in accessing, interpreting, and using data
    • Embed insights into planning and reflection processes to strengthen continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making
    • Serve as a cross-functional thought partner, helping teams interpret data, ask the right questions, and translate insights into action

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5–7 years of experience in data analysis, impact measurement, or systems management
    • Advanced analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
    • Demonstrated expertise in managing the data lifecycle, including system design, automation, data integrity, analysis, and documentation
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Detail-oriented and organized, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outputs.
    • Commitment to equity and continuous learning, with experience applying an equity lens to data analysis and use.

    GOOD TO KNOW

    • Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Salary range: $98,600 – $114,500. Benefits include medical and dental insurance coverage, 403(b) with up to 5% match on base salary, and a generous leave policy.
    • Preferred Start Date: October 13, 2025
      • Location: Catalyst:Ed works nationally and is a fully remote team. Team members can work from a location of their choosing.
    • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel is required for attendance at in-person team meetings, events, and conferences.
