A St. Peter’s School Prekindergarten teacher is a dynamic full-time teacher who has experience planning an integrated curriculum, is committed to academic excellence, awareness of DEIJB, and engaging learners to be committed citizens of their communities. They understand the social and emotional growth and development of young children and have a student-centered approach to learning. They will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and the motivation to work collaboratively as a team with other teachers to build a sense of community in and outside of the classroom.
Additionally, the teacher should be knowledgeable of current instructional practices, pedagogy and curriculum standards, and innovative approaches to instruction. They should be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work with all adults and children of different ages respectfully and consistently is important.

A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education is required. While a Master’s degree is not required, advanced coursework or training is preferred, as well as previous teaching experience. Salary will be determined based on experience and education.
