    Job Title: Finance Controller (HEO), Hunter College Foundation

    Position Details:

    This role manages the day-to-day financial operations of the Hunter College Foundation. The position reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of Hunter College Foundation and supervises a team of six – two gift processing managers, two accountants, one Budget Director and one Payroll Director.

    In addition to CUNY Title Overview, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Directs the financial functions of the Hunter College Foundation.
    • Manages day-to-day accounting functions including staff supervision (six direct reports) in relation to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and more than 1000 restricted spending accounts.
    • Oversee and reconcile investment income from the Hunter College Investment Pool and Endowment.
    • Directs the internal and external audits of the Hunter College Foundation.
    • Works with the leadership of the Hunter College Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Foundation Budget, Audit, and Investment Committees.
    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.

    Directs the financial functions of a College or unit.

    • Directs financial operations for various funds and accounts
    • Ensures compliance with all appropriate City, State, Federal and GAAP accounting and regulatory policies
    • Reviews risk assessments, identifies internal control weaknesses and implements appropriate corrective actions
    • Manages day-to-day accounting functions including staff supervision in relation to closings, reconciliations and analyses
    • Oversees the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements, revenue projections and other reports as required
    • Develops effective policies and procedures for fiscal operations, and incorporates University-wide policies and standards
    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Salary commensurate with education and experience ($127,303 -$155,000).
