Equip for Equality, a disability rights organization headquartered in Chicago and providing advocacy and legal services throughout Illinois, is seeking an experienced clinical professional to support efforts to ensure safety and quality of care for people with disabilities in Illinois. The position involves working collaboratively with a team of monitors and includes on-site monitoring in facilities and community programs to help ensure that individuals with disabilities have successful community transitions and receive appropriate services in a safe environment. The position further involves analysis and report writing to develop recommendations for systemic change and improvements, focusing on individuals with developmental / intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness.
Requirements:
The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a social services field and possess one of the following credentials: LSW, LCSW, LCPC, QIDP, or a valid RN license. A minimum of five years of professional experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is required, along with a demonstrated commitment to their civil rights. Strong oral and written communication skills are also essential.
The position will be located in our Northern Illinois region. Local and overnight travel and a valid driver’s license are required. The work environment is Remote/Hybrid.
